As District Manager for Collection & Disposal, I lead operational performance, safety, and service quality across my district. I oversee a team of 20+ employees, including two Operations Managers, and ensure that daily operations run safely, efficiently, and in alignment with WM standards.Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership and direction to 20+ frontline employees and 2 Operations Managers, ensuring consistent performance, safety culture, and high operational standards.Oversee all Collection & Disposal operations, including route execution, service reliability, and productivity.Ensure 100% compliance with WM safety programs, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards; lead daily safety engagement and coaching.Manage administrative functions such as scheduling, payroll approval, reporting, and performance documentation.Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Maintenance to support customer needs, fleet uptime, and service delivery (without direct reporting lines).Coordinate closely with Maintenance to maximize equipment availability and minimize unplanned downtime.Lead container maintenance planning and asset management, ensuring inventory accuracy, container tracking, and timely repairs/replacements.Monitor and execute district KPIs: safety, service, cost, customer escalations, overtime control, and productivity.Support P&L performance by managing labor, disposal costs, equipment resources, and operational efficiencies.Drive employee development, coaching, hiring, and performance management to maintain a high-performing operational team.Represent WM to customers, vendors, municipalities, and community partners to maintain strong relationships and service quality.
