Over my two-decade career, I have managed business development initiatives for management consulting, international development firms, and law firms. Key elements of my experience include- Over a decade of business development experience at global law firms such as Sidley Austin, DLA Piper, and Arnold & Porter- Extensive experience executing business development programs for professional services firms, honing my expertise in key client development and revenue generation- Proven track record in diagnosing clients\' business problems and driving the achievement of critical business priorities and metrics- Global experience in litigation, regulatory, and transactional practice areas- Litigation: antitrust/competition, commercial litigation, consumer protection, environmental enforcement, intellectual property, international arbitration, labor & employment, securities enforcement- Regulatory: corporate governance, financial services, government contracts, international trade, life sciences and healthcare regulatory- Transactional: emerging companies and venture capital, investment management, mergers & acquisitions, private equity, real estate, sovereign finance, structured finance and derivatives, and tax- Significant international management consulting experience, representing clients in the U.S. and Latin America across sectors including consumer goods, energy, technology, and retail- Advisory experience with multilateral agencies such as USAID, The World Bank, and The Inter-American Development Bank.In May 2023, I was recruited by Hirschler, an 80+ attorney firm based in Richmond, Virginia, to develop its business development and marketing team after two years without a director. In my first year, I focused on training an event and marketing manager and creating a framework to simplify business development and marketing processes, adding value for attorneys and clients.During my two years with Arnold & Porter, I led business development efforts for 14 global offices and more than 20 practice groups. At Sidley Austin and DLA Piper, I developed strategies to cultivate business and grow revenue for multiple practice groups, writing high-quality pitch materials and responses to RFPs, and collaborating with practice leadership to develop annual business plans and targeted campaigns.
