About Luis Carranza

I am a second-year International Studies major on the pre-law track at the University of Florida, pursuing a triple minor in Spanish, Economics, and Chinese. I plan to build a career in international business or law, where I can combine global awareness, analytical thinking, and advocacy to make a meaningful impact. My academic journey has been complemented by study abroad experiences in Europe and Spain, where I strengthened my Spanish fluency and expanded my cross-cultural perspective. I thrive in collaborative environments and bring extensive experience working in teams, leadership roles, and mission-driven organizations. Currently, I serve as an Organization Relations Captain for Dance Marathon, AD of Philanthropy for Thrive IFC supporting men’s mental health, a member of Homecoming Gator Growl, and a founding member of the KAPi Pre-Law fraternity at UF. As a childhood cancer survivor, I am also deeply passionate about raising awareness and supporting organizations like Make-a-Wish and Camp One Step, that empower patients and families. My lived experiences continue to inspire my dedication to advocacy, resilience, and community. I am eager to connect with professionals and organizations at the intersection of law, business, and international affairs, as well as those committed to social impact. I welcome opportunities to grow through internships, mentorship, and meaningful collaborations.
