I contributed to the creation of a product dedicated to the Iot devices management and the collection of related telemetry/events/commands data utilezed by different clients in the energy sector, based entirely on open source software. I dealt with the definition of the architecture, in the design of the central \"engine\" component (public cloud / private cloud, bare metal), the versioning strategies of complete lifecycle of the software releases (based on semantic release), the deployment automation (ci/cd) towards final execution environments (k8s/openshift). The working method I used was based on the main best practices related to software design and development giving priority to performance (automation and reproducibility of performance tests), to observability (infrastructural and application monitoring, tracing and logging aggregation) to all automation of the entire software lifecycle (automation of unit tests, integration, e2e, production of metric reports).For the Edge Layer \"thing\", I dealt with the definition of the architecture of the workloads based on k8s (microk8s, k3s) and with the interfacing with the central engine module through standard communication protocols (mqtt, lorawan, rest) and the provisioning strategy to setup the edge environment (salt-stack, ansible).
