ABOUT LUIGI NALDI
I worked in the Laboratory of Clinical Pharmacology of the Mario Negri Institute from 1983 to 1986, and I was a visiting professor of Dermatology at the University of Geneva from to 2002. I founded Centro Studi GISED, a nonprofit research center, in 2003. I worked as a dermatologist at Ospedali Riuniti di Bergamo, now Ospedale papa Giovanni from 1987 to 2007, when I was appointed head of department of dermatology at Ospedale san Bortolo, Vicenza. My research interests focus on classical and clinical epidemiology in Dermatology and on methods to assess the safety of medical interventions. I have always considered the health care system as the \"natural laboratory\" for a clinically oriented scientist. I tried to translate this concept into practice by establishing in 1986 a network of clinical centres to conduct collaborative research, The Italian Group for Epidemiologic Research in Dermatology (GISED) which is still active.
