ABOUT LUIGI DI RAIMO
I am a highly motivated person who is enthusiastic about embedding User Centered Design (UCD)/ User Experience Design (UED) into product development and have championed the integration of both human factors and system safety into the product design development process. This has been accomplished by working collaboratively with numerous stakeholders and reporting out to various levels of management, including senior leadership. In addition to successfully managing a multi-disciplinary team and associated project budgets for over 20 years, I have extensive experience in developing user requirements, completing human factors analyses and conducting usability / user experience testing to ensure superior packaging of human machine interfaces (HMI) and optimal User Experience (UX). I love giving back to the ergonomics/human factors field by educating students to become future practicing ergonomists and UX professionals. I continue to teach a Human Computer Interactions (HCI) course within the Advanced Ergonomics Studies Program at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, Canada. The course focuses on: defining User Experience (UX); concepting Graphical User Interfaces (GUI); developjng Style Guides; Conducting User Research (personas, storyboard, etc); Qualitative & Quantitative Research; Usability / UX Testing and Rapid Prototyping with Figma. Starting in the Fall 2023, I will also be teaching the Design and the Human Mind course within the User Experience Design Program at Fanshawe College.
