ABOUT LUIGI CONTI

I am graduated in Economics at the University of Turin (Italy), Certified Public Accountant and Registered Independent Auditor.I am the Engagement Partner on Telecom Italia since 2008 and have been involved in the Telecommunications sector since 2001.During my 12 years experience with EY, I have been involved and have been responsible for various projects on listed companies and in particular for the audit of separate and consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP, conversion to IFRS, analysis of the accounting treatment under IFRS and US GAAP of complex transactions (e.g. sale and leaseback, convertible bonds, transactions among entities under common control and business combinations), integrated audit in accordance with the standards of the PCAOB, assistance in the SEC comment letters process. I have also been involved in various Capital Market transactions, and have extensive experience in the audit engagements related to bond offerings and IPOs (issuance of comfort letters to underwriters, audit of pro-forma and carve-out financial statements, etc.), both on the European and US markets. In addition to Telecom Italia, I served major accounts in various industries: Telecom Italia Media (Media & Communications), SEAT Pagine Gialle (Directories), Sorin Group (Medical Technologies), Pininfarina (Automotive).Specialties: I am specialized in accounting issues of Telecommunication and Media operators (fixed line, mobile, internet, directories, television) under IFRS and US GAAP. I am the Italian IFRS Subject Matter Expert on Revenue Recognition.
