   I lead the strategic vision, evolution, and impact of the Exploratorium’s Tinkering Studio, which has been at the forefront of shaping how hands-on, constructionist learning is understood and practiced worldwide for over 15 years.As Senior Manager of Tinkering, I provide organizational and intellectual leadership for a multidisciplinary team of educators, designers, and cross-departmental collaborators, guiding the development of experiences that sit at the intersection of science, art, and technology. My work spans strategy, people leadership, pedagogy, and systems design: from setting long-term direction and aligning work with institutional priorities, to mentoring staff and cultivating a culture of reflective, values-driven practice.I have played a central role in developing and sustaining the Tinkering approach, from early program design and exhibit-floor experimentation to professional development models, global partnerships, and at-scale dissemination. This includes designing and leading workshops, residencies, and learning environments for educators and institutions around the world, as well as stewarding a growing international network committed to learning through making.A core part of my role is translating pedagogy into practice at scale. I guide the continuous evolution of tinkering activities across museum floors, online platforms, and partner sites, while collaborating across departments to integrate tinkering into funded initiatives, exhibitions, and long-term institutional strategy. I also contribute to fundraising, grant development, and sustainability planning, ensuring the work is both mission-aligned and future-focused.
