About Ludwig Reimmer

Currently, I work as an Associate Principal Examiner at FINRA where I design and execute risk based examinations on FINRA member firms to ensure firms adhere and comply with SEC Rules; Securities Act of 1933 & 1934, SEC Rule 15c3-1 (Net Capital) and SEC Rule 15c3-3 (Reserve Formula). Before accepting employment with FINRA, I work as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management in the New York City. I provided advice to individuals and business owners to help them first establish financial goals and objectives and then implement solutions using my expertise, leveraged with the resources of Merrill Lynch to execute the strategy. My suite of services included portfolio management, retirement planning, trust and estate services, credit and lending services and insurance underwriting. During the summer of my MBA, I internered at Goldman Sachs in its Private Wealth Management department as a summer associate. I gained experience in prospecting potential clients, reviewing client portfolio asset allocations and researching equity investment opportunities. Additionally, I researched, wrote and presented weekly economic and equity market updates for client presentation to explain current trends and future projections. Prior to attending graduate school at Tuck to pursue my MBA, I worked at Ernst & Young (EY) for 6 years. I started with the firm as a staff auditor and reached the level of audit manager before my departure. At EY, I was a part of the Financial Services Office and specialized in audits of Asset Management and Banking/Capital Market clients. I was responsible for planning and implementing tailored audits for my clients and managing audits teams of upwards of 6 professionals. Specialties: Client relationship management, financial statements preparation and analysis, investment allocation, team management, management of personnel and resources, time management, decision making and problem solving, coaching and developing others.
