About Lucy Sivils

I am a Doctor of Education (EdD) candidate with a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology, grounded in neuroscience and developmental psychobiology. My academic and professional work focuses on understanding how individuals learn, adapt, and succeed across educational contexts, with particular attention to neurodevelopment, resilience, and learning differences.My experience includes research on how early life stress affects learning and memory, as well as teaching and supporting student centered practices in higher education. I currently serve as a part time instructor in the School of Human Ecology, where I teach Lifespan Development and Introduction to Family Science, and as a Neuropsychology Training Technician, supporting assessment and evaluation processes related to neurodevelopmental functioning. My skill set spans behavioral research, data analysis using SPSS, instructional design, and collaboration across academic and clinical settings.I am also pursuing an Autism Endorsement to strengthen my ability to support assessment, diagnosis, and evidence based learning practices within higher education. I am especially passionate about the intersection of learning science, well being, and educational equity, and I am driven to help create systems and environments where students can thrive academically and personally.
