About Lucy Pappas
I love stories. This interest began at a young age, as I grew up doing theatre and making short films with my sister. It continued as I fell deeper into studying foreign languages in high school and majoring in Chinese language and literature for my undergraduate degree. During my time at the Stanford Center on China\'s Economy and Institutions (SCCEI), I\'ve gained a new understanding of storytelling: how we can use data and research to tell stories. As project manager of our early childhood development research, I work with academics, NGOs, and project stakeholders in the US and China to organize and manage large-scale research projects, and to ultimately share the stories of our research on economic development in rural China.
