ABOUT LUCY MCINALLY

Ever since I first stepped into a coworking space, I\'ve been captivated by the spirit of coworking - the collaboration, connections, and community. That’s why my work solely lies in the “co” industry.I\'m a freelance industry writer working with leading tech suppliers in the coworking sector, with clients including SALTO Systems, Cobot, and Nexudus. I\'m the curator of Brave Ideas - a weekly digest of thought leaders in the flexible workspace sector, and a contributing writer for Allwork.Space. I\'ve also written articles for Workplace Insight and Hospitality Investor. In 2024, I launched my blog - The Inclusive Coworker - which celebrates the inclusive and people-first nature of the coworking industry. It\'s sub-series, People Make Coworking, shares stories from industry thought leaders. My interest in these topics originated from my academic background and previous experience working for the Stirling & Clacks City Region Deal. While studying for a Master\'s in interior design (2019-20) at the Glasgow School of Art, I applied a co-design methodology to look at the design of urban spaces. I will be presenting my research at the RCGS Symposium at the Politecnico di Milano in January 2025. My Master\'s research project segwayed me into the coliving world. Between 2020-21, I was contracted to co-liv (the global coliving organisation) as Social Media Manager and Head of Marketing. I worked on two successful co-liv summits and helped to launch the co-liv tech community. I left co-liv in 2022 to join res:harmonics an award-winning coliving software company, as a contracted Marketing Manager.Since 2022, I\'ve actively participated in the London Coworking Assembly, speaking on two panels around inclusivity in coworking design at the Workspace Design Show in 2023 and 2024. Separately, I built a freelance community, hosting monthly breakfast meetups at a local coworking space in Islington, which has contributed significantly to its social impact initiative. This online community reached over 100+, with physical events reaching good attendance.Get in touch if you\'re looking to work with an industry writer with a deep understanding of the commercial real estate industry, or would like to collaborate with The Inclusive Coworker.
