ABOUT LUCY STAPLETON
I am PwC UK’s Deals Leader and I’m responsible for our Transactions, Value Creation & Realisation, Restructuring and Forensics and Lead Advisory businesses. I lead a team of 2,500 staff members and 220 partners. I have nearly 30 years experience in advising private equity and corporate clients on multinational carve outs and vendor due diligence (“VDD”); bid defence; buy-side due diligence and I’m the founder of PwC UK\'s market leading healthcare transaction services practice. I am a Chartered Accountant and member of the ICAEW and have been a UK PwC partner since 2006. I am passionate about advancing female talent within professional services and within the Private Equity industry and as a result I introduced the flagship Advancing Female Talent programme within Deals which provides mentor and sponsor support to women, enabling them to thrive and flourish in their respective fields. I am committed to keeping talented women in fulfilling careers after motherhood and have experienced first hand some of the challenges that come with this as a mum of four myself.
