About Lucy Doyle
I am a creative and detail-oriented digital media specialist whose multidisciplinary background touches upon digital storytelling, social justice nonprofits, and harm reduction initiatives. The consistent thread of my work has always been a keen focus on storytelling as a means of empowerment and education, particularly around social justice issues. As a Digital Media Specialist in nonprofit environments, I have taken the initiative to self-learn graphic design and CSS coding, and I currently specialize in developing marketing strategy and newsletter management.An early \"click\" moment for me came as a teenager. As a self-identified feminist activist with a love of writing and magazines, I self-published a cut-and-paste zine, and traded this publication across the world. Some of my most frequent readers came from South Korea, Germany, and Indonesia, where my English colloquialisms didn’t always translate, but the desire to be heard did; today, I keep some of my letters from these readers written in foreign languages as a reminder of the political power of personal stories across barriers. Currently seeking opportunities to apply my digital media experience to a nonprofit or media organization. And always seeking blog and podcast recommendations.
