   Coordinate and conduct surface water sample collection using automated and manual techniques. Maintain and troubleshoot sampling equipment such as parshall flumes, flow meters, and sampler units to ensure proper function. Order necessary supplies such as bottles and acids for sample collection and analysis, ensuring adequate stock levels. Prepare samples for laboratory analysis, including labeling, preservation, and proper packaging for shipment. Input field data into spreadsheets and databases accurately and in a timely manner. Observe and determine sample collection timing using hydrological methods. Assist in the development of field sampling protocols and standard regulatory operating procedures. Train and supervise field technicians and interns as needed. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during field operations. Operate off-road vehicles to access sampling sites in various terrain and weather conditions. Peer review contract deliverables and other reports. Assist in projects outside of normal scope such as PFAS and soil sampling, pesticide application, and site inspections.
