I\'m a multimedia writer-editor-journalist with a passion for telling engaging stories across platforms and genres - from arts/entertainment/music and pop culture to politics and current events. I\'m proficient at conceiving and developing creative story ideas, and I enjoy collaborating with colleagues and others to bring those ideas to life. I have a Masters Television/Radio/Film from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Smith College - and for good measure I spent a year studying at Harvard. I have developed an outstanding multimedia writing, editing, producing, newsgathering, researching, booking and interviewing skill set, as well as a creative and collaborative mindset. I have contributed to top jazz magazine JazzTimes and various digital and print outlets for more than two decades. In addition I\'ve written promotional materials for record labels, including album liner notes and artist bios. I\'m proficient in Adobe Audition, Enco, Dalet, Quick Edit Pro, Audacity, iNews, ENPS, and WordPress, and have participated in a Digital Media Bootcamp at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. I am a versatile and detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced and deadline-driven environments.
