About Lucy Rouchka

I am a Junior at the University of Missouri, majoring in Textiles and Apparel Management with the emphasis of apparel product development and retail digital merchandising. I am also pursuing a business minor and a certificate in digital marketing. I am interested in pursuing opportunities at the intersection of creative design and business within the fashion industry. My areas of interest include fashion design, merchandising, marketing, and product development. I am driven by the challenge of developing products and marketing strategies that reflect both strong aesthetics and effective business practices.On campus I am a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority at Mizzou, and serve as the 2025 and 2026 Bid Day Chair, overseeing, planning, and executing our biggest event of the year. I am also apart of ATAM (Associates of Textiles and Apparel Management) at Mizzou and serve as social media chair, scheduling, maintaining, and curating content for our social media platforms.

   This experience taught me about adaptability, patience, and teamwork skills as well as developing customer service skills in a retail environment, and building connections with customers and coworkers to create a welcoming shopping experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of a brand that values quality, style, and a positive workplace. It’s always rewarding to learn and grow in opportunities like this. I plan to return to Madewell for seasonal retail sales associate during breaks.
