Through this paid summer internship, at the Organic Farm School, I was educated on alternative and resourceful modes of farming, then taking that information I helped to educate others. Half of my time was spent doing food-safe harvesting of produce, sanitizing and cleaning that produce to then be packed and divided out to our on-site farmstand, local buyers, and market. This along with tending to high tunnels, trellises, and maintaining inventory of produce and supplies to continue a successful business. The other half was focused on customer service and finances. Every Sunday I attended Tilth Market, where from 9am to 4pm I would address cash income and transactions, support customers and any inquiries they had about our business or what we offered, and I would transport supply from the Farm - where we prep money and produce - to then have it all out for display at the market.
