ABOUT LUCY KING RCDP
I’m a Corporate Solicitor by background, having been in private practice for 7 years at Osborne Clarke, mainly leading public and private corporate transactional work and company law and governance matters. The bulk of my career was at the London Stock Exchange Group, in particular as Head of AIM Regulation and then Head of UK Primary Market Regulation in charge of primary market regulation across all of the Exchange’s four markets, managing a large team, regulating and disciplining companies and advisers and dealing with on-market issues, strategy, policy and writing and implementing the Rulebooks. I have significant Governance experience, both from being a solicitor, my time at LSEG, as well as advising Charities after gaining a CGI Charity Law and Governance qualification, and then within the Sports sector working at Sport England in the governance team, advising on good governance for National Governing Bodies and other partner organisations and charities, including a large project around diversity and inclusion plans. I’m now pursing an additional career in 6th form Careers Guidance, with a special focus on Higher Education and Social Mobility, alongside studying for a Masters in Career Development. I’m enjoying connecting with young people taking the first steps in their career journey, as well as being part of education sector and a member of the Career Development Institute.I am also currently an elected Public Governor at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust and part of the NomCo, Membership Committee and Governance Working Group there, as well as Complaints Commissioner for the London Stock Exchange Group.Proudly part of the group women who are late-diagnosed Autistic/ADHD.
