About Lucy Karlin

I graduated with a bachelor\'s degree in sociology from the University of New Hampshire in 2019, and since then I have been working as an Events Attendee Experience Coordinator at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community and resource. At IAPP, I supervise the efficient and effective execution of on-site event projects, spanning from conceptualization to completion. I work with external third-party designers, providing creative direction and ensuring the flawless execution of event materials. I also maintain brand consistency across all projects and events, and develop the company’s event websites and mobile app. Additionally, I collaborate closely with the technical department and the corporate membership team to deliver data reports and metrics related to company events and marketing engagement. I am passionate about creating engaging and memorable experiences for our event attendees, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies that can enhance our events. I believe that my diverse perspectives and experiences, as well as my sociology background, have helped me contribute to the IAPP\'s mission of advancing the privacy profession globally.
