ABOUT LUCY JAMESON

As an Assistant Project Manager at Harkins Builders, I manage the construction and quality control of multifamily affordable housing projects, following the National Green Building Standard (NGBS), EnergyStar, and Earthcraft guidelines. I also oversee the project financing through Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs, and the preconstruction design and bid process. I am proficient in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office Suite, and drafting programs, and I ensure the compliance with construction site safety programs and OSHA regulations. My passion for community development stems from my education at Texas A&M University, where I earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Development. There, I learned how to apply social, economic, and environmental principles to create sustainable and resilient communities. I have also gained valuable experience as an independent contractor, a project manager and assistant project manager at Lawson, a project engineer and estimator at Pinnacle Construction & Development Corp, and a senior construction crew leader at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville. I am a detail-oriented, organizational mastermind, and a positive thinker, who strives to deliver high-quality housing that meets the needs and expectations of the clients and the residents.
