ABOUT LUCY DUROCHER
I am a Partner in the National Accounting Consulting Services group at PwC Canada, specializing in helping companies account for complex transactions using both International and Canadian accounting standards and advise public companies on requirements for financial disclosure under Canadian securities regulation. A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) in Ontario, since 2007, I work with public and private clients across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on the application of IFRS to mining, real estate and asset management industries. I also advise on the application of Public Sector Accounting Standards (including standards for not-for-profit organizations) and Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises. I am passionate about helping companies improve their financial reporting whatever their size or industry and I am a strong supporter of the Corporate Reporting Users Forum (facilitated by PwC) that allows Canadian investors to discuss developing issues in reporting and provide critical feedback to international standard setters and Canadian regulators.
