With over 35 years of experience, I’m a passionate leader dedicated to transforming children’s services and uplifting communities. My career is driven by a commitment to creating real, lasting change. I thrive on leading bold transformations that positively impact vulnerable children and families. Currently, I’m the lead for the UKs pioneering Regional Care Cooperative pathfinder - one of just two in the country - bringing extensive expertise in large-scale social care reforms. Previously, as Director of Children, Young People & Learning at West Sussex County Council, I led a 1,400 strong service and managed a £150M budget. I led an extensive improvement journey in a time of crisis, overturning a Secretary of State’s Statutory Direction to prevent the formation of a Children’s Trust, focussing on rebuilding the service whilst modelling and inspiring team empowerment. I lead with both heart and strategy, advocating for diversity in leadership, driving innovation in social care, and fostering resilient teams. My approach is all about clear vision, relentless focus, and delivering meaningful outcomes.
