The CTE Instructional Coordinator and Career Development Coordinator split position is for small, specialty high schools with 400 or fewer students. This position is responsible for providing support to the Executive Director of CTE, CTE Coordinator, CTE Teachers, and administrative team in the implementation of the CTE program at assigned school. As the curriculum and instructional management coordinator for the school, the CTE Instructional Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Executive Director and CTE Coordinator manage the accountability and curriculum & instructional functions of the CTE program at the school level. Also, the position works collaboratively with administrators, student services personnel, teachers, families, and the community to ensure the delivery of career development services to students. Career Development Coordinators facilitate linkages with families, business/industry partners, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations to support students’ transition to postsecondary education and employment by Coordinating activities to assist students in developing a personalized four-year career readiness plan with appropriate and aligned educational choices Providing transitional assistance to students at pivotal points such as entry into high school and from high school to career, postsecondary, and/or military Establishing partnerships between the school and the community that offers support for CTE and opportunities for students Publicizing CTE programs and accomplishments within the school and community to raise awareness of educational and career opportunities for students Preparing an annual Career Development Coordinator Calendar of Work
