As a Mechanical Design Engineer, I am involved in the process of Design Development, which encompasses tasks ranging from BIM (Building Information Modeling), plans and sheets setup for mechanical and plumbing discipline to design cooling and heating load calculations, outside air requirements, codes and standards review, equipment selection and placement on plans, sizing and routing of associated ductwork and piping, coordination and interference clash detection with different disciplines, responding to RFI’s, creating schedules, riser diagrams, controls and details sheets, reviewing specifications and submittals. I am highly proficient in BIM softwares like REVIT and AutoCAD MEP, rendering using RECAP, ENSCAPE and NAVISWORKS, energy modeling using TRANE TRACE V700 and blueprint QC using BLUEBEAM REVU/STUDIO. I am also developing added expertise in 3D Scanning and Site Data Acquisition using FARO & GEOSLAM technologies and BIM model management.
