ABOUT LUCIE MATHIEU
10+ years of experience as an economic geologist, igneous and structural petrologist, with lots of field, lab, and data analysis experience. I have obtained my Ph.D. in 2010 from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I have worked on the Copper Cliff Offset dyke (Sudbury) before working for the research and development group Consorem (from 2012 to 2017), I was a professor at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi (UQAC, from 2017 to 2022), and I have worked for the private sector (Kobold Metals, from 2022 to 2023). I have experience in: economic geology and mineral exploration (Li pegmatites, Ni-Cu and Fe-Ti-V deposits of magmatic origin, Archean Cu-Au porphyries, orogenic gold, IRGS - intrusion related gold systems), petrology, chemical evolution of magmas, geology of Archean cratons (the Superior craton especially), quantification of hydrothermal alteration, and dating by laser ablation (LA-ICP-MS) on zircon grains.
