About Lucian Duchaine

I am a U.S. Navy veteran with over 8 years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, Small - Medium Team Leadership, and operational and tactical risk management. I recently earned my MBA from the University of North Carolina with a soft-focus on business analytics, and I am a newly-minted PMP with accreditation from the Project Management Institute. After graduating from the Naval Academy, I participated in a foreign exchange cruise on board the Chilean Navy\'s officer training ship, Esmeralda, traveling to locales such as Easter Island, Japan, South Korea, and China. I checked on board USS O\'KANE (DDG-77) in October of 2016. I started my first division officer tour as the assistant division officer of Combat Systems Fire Control Division where I helped manage 12 sailors experienced in maintaining and operating the combat systems suite of O\'KANE. In May 2017, I was appointed as the Communications Officer where I managed and led 12 sailors who maintain and operate the communications suite of the ship, a vital part to O\'KANE\'s combat systems capability. I completed a successful tour on O\'KANE and departed in February of 2019. In June 2019, I reported to USS STERETT as the Fire Control Officer, responsible for a division of 20 Sailors that maintain and operate the SPY-1D(V) Fire Control Radar, MK 99 Fire Control System, and the AEGIS Computer Network. I also managed the Air Warfare Program on board where I was responsible for the execution of a Guided Missile Destroyer\'s primary warfare mission. In September 2021, I reported to the Office of Naval Intelligence.At the Office of Naval Intelligence, I worked as an Anti-Submarine Warfare intelligence professional for the Submarine Warfare Operations and Research Development division within the Naval Warfare Department at the Office of Naval Intelligence. I specifically provided insight from the Surface Warfare perspective to intelligence analysts trained to analyze adversary submarine tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) and provide relevant TTP to the warfare professionals in the Fleet.I attended the United States Naval Academy from August 2012 to May 2016, earning a Bachelor\'s of Science Degree in English, with honors. I am from Oxford, Mississippi and a 2012 graduate of Oxford High School.
