About Luci Woodrum
I am a senior at Marian University, double-majoring in Business Finance and Management with a minor in Exercise Science and Psychology. As captain of the Marian University Women’s Cross Country team and a member of the track team, I’ve developed leadership and discipline that extend beyond athletics. In my role as Student Government Association (SGA) Student Body President, I represent and advocate for our student community, balancing this with my position as President of Women of Marian, an organization dedicated to empowering women on campus. I also founded the Association of Student Athletes, which provides a platform for student-athletes to have a voice with university administration. Additionally, I serve as the SGA Representative for Women in Business and am the student leader for Athletes in Action, where I facilitate weekly Bible studies, supporting the faith community on campus. An honor that I’m particularly proud of is being selected as a 2024 Indianapolis 500 Festival Princess, allowing me to represent my university and contribute to our city’s rich cultural traditions. Outside of my studies and campus involvement, I’ve balanced part-time work during the academic year and full-time work during breaks at Franklin Jewelers since 2020. This role has enriched my understanding of customer service and retail, preparing me for my future in business. Additionally, my experience as an assistant and purchase order manager at Marshall Mechanical equipped me with skills in payroll organization and logistical planning, while my marketing internship at Marian University last year allowed me to create content and even appear in a university commercial. Academically, I am honored to be a two-time recipient of the NAIA National Scholar-Athlete award for maintaining a 3.89+ GPA and demonstrating leadership and character skills. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping my journey, inspiring me to pursue a career in consulting where I can leverage my skills to make a positive impact.
