Worked on SCADA applications; Executed troubleshooting and Fixed bugs in different languages: C, C++, and Python; Checked the influence of other Software (Antivirus, Zabbix) on the SCADA application; Came up with new ideas of how to improve some processes and programmed them in Python; Set configuration on Operacional Systems (Windows and Debian Linux) and on VMware; Tested Canary (PIMS Software) to check if the software meets the project needs; Carried out the cybersecurity/network procedure on customer\'s facility; Participated in Hirschmann switch training. Improved my knowledge of networking devices; Developed a price prediction tool using PyTorch, Python, and Django to enable the tender team to predict equipment prices based on historical data; Conducted meetings with customers and other facilities; Mentored colleagues to improve their understanding of the software.Achievements: Programmed applications in Python to finish the task faster; Created an application on Python to replace a solution that uses paid software; Developed a new feature for the SCADA application; Developed a price prediction tool using deep learning despite having no prior experience with machine learning.

ABOUT LUCAS TESTONI MACEDO
I am an automation and control engineer who graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 2018. I have been working in the automation area since 2017, mostly developing SCADA systems. Lastly, I am working on SCADA for the offshore oil & gas industry.My career is currently focused on the automation area. I have experience with Elipse E3, industrial languages IEC 61131-3 (Ladder, FBD, SFC, IL, and ST), VB, VBA, SQL, IEC104, OPC, MODBUS TCP/IP, a few PIMS software, Python, and machine learning (deep learning - learning). Although I had worked with these technologies, I am capable of learning new ones.Without decreasing my workload, I chose to pursue my master’s degree in automation at the University of São Paulo. My research focuses on developing an architecture to integrate with metro systems. This architecture aims to ensure operator safety in the subway tunnel. I developed and simulated the architecture using Colored Petri Nets (CPN). I completed it in 2024, earning the title of Master of Science.Throughout my experiences, I developed a keen eye for problem-solving, a passion for various technologies and automated processes, and, more recently, for deep learning. Additionally, I can work independently, in groups, in the office, or remotely without negatively impacting my performance.I feel comfortable when I am facing new automation challenges because I am aware that I can find a solution for them and learn from them. Each new knowledge leads me to a new upper stage of a specialist in the automation area. This is the growth that I pursue in my career. Beyond that, I am learning German in my free time.
