About Lucas Smolic
I am a software engineer with a passion for achieving business goals with code and infrastructure. While I have plenty of management experience, I have always been in hybrid, individual contributor roles in fast-paced, startup environments. During the pandemic, budgets dried up and I took advantage of the opportunity to take a sabbatical. I am excited to bring what I learned back into the workplace. I’m looking for data, backend, or frontend software roles. Though my strengths are in Python, Ruby, and Javascript, I have been fairly language and framework-agnostic throughout my career. I really love nerding out on sake brewing, hiking, gardening, and cooking.
