At the start of the 119th Congress, the only first-time Legislative Director for a freshman Democrat who flipped a battleground seat.* Lead a legislative team that is cognizant and sensitive to battleground district needs.* Policy portfolio includes leading House Financial Services Committee engagements + tax, trade, foreign affairs, defense, and health.* Helped secure for a first-year Congresswoman her first-choice and exclusive committee assignment by strategically engaging congressional leadership and navigating the steering process. This was the first time a freshman Democrat from Oregon was seated to a committee considered exclusive at the time of appointment. This was also the first time a freshman member from Oregon was appointed to the House Financial Services Committee in 28 years.
