My role has grown from photographing home matches and remotely providing content production support (score graphics, web content management, live photo editing) for away matches, to now, where I am the principal match photographer for Toronto FC and Toronto FC II. Primarily reporting to the Digital Content Manager, and Director of Digital Content, I work hand-in-hand with the social media team, providing real-time social media photography and handling any internal and external photo-related requests on match days. My responsibilities with Toronto FC II include coordinating with both league and team officials to provide real-time photography to all stakeholders, including USL (through 2019), MLSNextPro (Since 2022), AppleTV (since 2023), Toronto FCII, and the visiting team. In mid-2019, I began travelling with the first-team to select away matches, including the full 2019 playoff run where we finished runners-up in MLS Cup 2019. Since 2022, I’ve had the incredible privilege to travel full-time with the club, photographing all away matches.In addition to match photography, my responsibilities also include coordinating with and reporting to the numerous departments and stakeholders (media relations/communications, marketing, global partnerships, event experiences team, external partners, etc.) to plan and execute photo content including but not limited to player/personnel announcements and press conferences, sponsored content with key partners (such as BMO, adidas, General Electric, LG, Sonnet Insurance, KIA, etc.), official headshots and portraits, partnership agreements + announcements, fan events, apparel, and more.Other responsibilities include: providing, maintaining, upgrading, and insuring all photographic equipment; photographing select TFC Academy tournaments, events, and personnel; photographing TFC facilities and properties; photographing players/personnel in studio settings for key marketing imagery; some video & graphic design content as requested.
