ABOUT LUCAS FONTES

I\'ve started my career back in 1997 at 14 years old, setting up \'USRobotics\' modems to pay for my own internet access. It was about the same time I\'ve started using AIX & Linux (after waiting 3 months for a shipment from cheapbytes to arrive), and started building my own programs. At that age I was managing various machines from DNS to Quakeworld servers and helping set up Internet Service Providers in nearby cities. During this period I had my first exploit published by Security Focus [smtp-analysis] and read as many rfcs as I could.I have over 20 years in network operations and programming starting when servers had 128mb of ram and c10k paper wasn\'t even published yet. I\'ve been blessed with the opportunity to work with many smart people and acquired extensive knowledge in designing and implementing large scale systems using mostly open-source software.I\'ve learned that sometimes you have to write a design document; but sometimes you have to put your headphones on and code like there\'s no tomorrow. I\'m a generalist by heart, and a layer 2-7 network wizard by trade.
