ABOUT LUCAS BEDFORD COMTE
Journal Specialist at Frontiers, working across Frontiers in Drug Delivery and Frontiers in Drug Discovery. Bringing a research background into publishing to support quality, innovation, and researcher-first science. Having recently completed a Master’s in Postcolonial Studies, alongside a First-Class Honours BA in History (International) from the University of Leeds, my academic journey has centred on modern history, race relations, and the dynamics of French and British empires and postcolonial states. My Master’s thesis explored diaspora formation in Britain and France through a cross-Channel framework, allowing me to develop strong analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving skills, which continue to inform my professional work today.Through a three-month long Political Affairs Internship with The Borgen Project, I learnt firsthand about the non-profit sector. As I dealt with grassroots activism, fundraising and political advocacy, my skillset broadened. I am eager to put these skills into practice, blending academic study with lived experience to further develop my passion in the professional world.
