About Lucas Quinn
I am a soon to be graduating Senior at UW-Madison studying Mechanical Engineering and I am looking for work in an entry-level position. I am currently pursuing jobs in the Automotive, Aerospace, and Maritime sectors though many other sectors also interest me. Responsible for validating system performance and improving the code architecture for the SPY6 family of radars. SPY-6 is Raytheon’s next-gen radar platform, responsible for defending against ballistic and cruise missiles, hypersonics, aircraft, ships, and electronic warfare in contested environments, and is set to replace many of the radars in the US Navy fleet. As a member of the Electronic Protection team, I investigate issues within the C++ code, design algorithm improvements and analyze simulated and live data in Matlab to guide future development of our electronic warfare mitigation techniques- Redesigned an EA tracking algorithm which improved performance against electronic attack modes- Received awards for innovation and accountability- Worked extensively with the digital signal processor, waveform generation, tracking algorithms and more.
