ABOUT LUCAS PERES

I\'m a 3D Layout Artist living in Montreal, QC, since 2018.I\'ve graduated in Marketing/Advertising back in 2003 and became a 3D Artist in 2010 after finishing the \"Animation & VFX\" 1 year course at Vancouver Film School. I\'ve started my career working with video editing, motion graphics and animation, worked on many TV series and film projects for the past 10 years, always at the Layout Department.The latest project I\'ve been part was the feature animation \"Transformers One\", from Paramount. Before that I was a Lead Layout Artist on the latest Ninja Turtles movie \"TMNT: Mutant Mayhem\", working for Mikros Animation in Montreal. Those were very intense and challenging projects and I had a a blast working with amazing artists and these beloved characters.Being part of a team to tell stories is where I use skills like the understanding of camera language, composition and animation to break 2D animatics in 3D sequences, paying attention to continuity and foreseeing problems.After 4 years in Brazil as a Layout Supervisor/Artist for TV series and a feature film, I\'ve moved to Canada in 2018 to work in the animation industry.It has been an amazing 6 years journey, where I\'ve worked in 6 different movies for 3 studios, mostly as a Lead Layout Artist. To help guide the team through the project, getting to know the artists and helping them to improve their sequences while solving problems and being part of creative decisions are just a few aspects of what I\'ve learned to love on this specific role.I\'m currently having my first having my first experience as a VFX Layout Artist for Cinesite. In a short amount of time I\'ve worked in three different projects, got to know new colleagues and explore a different pipeline and workflow for Visual Effects.
