About Lucas Canterbury
I considered multiple fields of study, such as astronomy and meteorology. All my life, I didn\'t know what I wanted to do, but then one day I decided to look into engineering, more specifically, civil engineering and construction management. Let me just tell you, it is AWESOME! Designing and creating giant bridges, airports, highways, and buildings sounds enthralling.My name is Lucas Canterbury, a student in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati. I am pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Construction Management and am passionate about construction, bridges, buildings, and project/construction management. I would love to be part of a team that designs and creates monumental civil structures and projects. I would love being able to look back at a bridge knowing I contributed to the design and creation of it.I am striving to gain valuable experience in civil engineering and grow upon this experience by working on a team to leading and managing a team and project.Interning with Traylor Bros, Inc. has presented me with highly valuable experience in the world of heavy civil construction. Learning how to create meticulous drawings in AutoCAD has given me a skill valued by various companies.Throughout my academic career as I work towards becoming an engineer, I will use my discipline and determination to work hard and ensure I put the safety, health, and welfare of people above all else in the projects I am a part of.
