Lead Powder Engineer for VulcanForms Inc. metal 3D printing. VulcanForms is a scale-up looking to develop metal additive manufacturing as a scalable industrial process. My primary role is the development and improvement of the powder system, focusing on the printer powder handling, but also including powder reconditioning and depowdering. I\'ve developed systems from initial brainstorming to R&D/rapid prototyping, iterative design improvements, production implementation, and documentation. I use Creo Parametric with Windchill for mechanical design work and FEA; Microsoft Office for documentation, presentations, scheduling, and more; and HSMWorks with a HAAS Mill for CNC Machining and CAM; and FDM and SLA 3D printers for rapid prototyping.In addition to the powder system, I\'ve worked on the resurfacing of mass-produced 3D printed parts to meet customer dimensional and visual specifications, as well as internal cost and cycle time requirements.
