ABOUT LUCA IRVINE
Luca began as a student with an irrational fear of deep water and sharks. He took the sensible decision to go to university and study flood-defence engineering so that he could prevent uninvited water and sharks from ruining his life on land. In the meantime, he went to Australia, made peace with water via the Great Barrier Reef, and felt perfectly at ease studying high-rise structures instead - the vertical distance between construction crane and aquatic killing-machine being of great comfort to him. π€ Nowadays, Luca prefers to spend time with his feet firmly on the ground, researching AI and hypothesising about how the impending singularity may cause the construction cranes to eventually turn against him. When he\'s not living in fear and typing out dramatic profile sections on LinkedIn, he actually likes to build things using Python & SQL, keep up to date with the latest progress in AI, as well as read to his heart\'s content about French and Russian fiction.
