About Luca Barber
Luca Barber serves as Executive Managing Director of Development for Mill Creek Residential Trust in Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. Mr. Barber’s responsibilities include overseeing the development process, including entitlements and design, and sourcing new development opportunities in the region. Since 2010, Mr. Barber has participated in more than $3.5 billion of commercial real estate transactions and has a professional background concentrated in mixed-use development, acquisitions, and multi-family investment sales.Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Barber was the Vice President of Development and Acquisitions for Lincoln Property Company in Nashville, TN. During his time at Lincoln, he worked on various mixed-use developments including Nashville Yards, a 15-acre, urban redevelopment in the central business district, and was also responsible for the acquisition of stabilized assets and potential development sites. Prior to joining Lincoln Property Company, Luca worked with MetLife Real Estate Investors in Atlanta, Jones Lang LaSalle in Washington, DC, and Roseland Property Company in the New York Tri-State area. Mr. Barber holds an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill, NC where he served as the Lead Manager for the KFBSF Real Estate Private Equity Funds, a series of three, diversified, value-add and opportunistic closed-end investment vehicles. Luca graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.
