About Luca Whitaker
I\'m a filmmaker drawn to stories that blend comedy with darker themes. My latest film \"About a Girl\" is a dark romantic comedy-drama that follows a writer who meets a mysterious girl in a mental hospital it shows how we can still lean on people when we\'re at our lowest and find meaning to life. What began as making YouTube videos from my bedroom evolved into building an engaged community of 400K subscribers. While partnering with brands like Amazon and Victoria\'s Secret PINK has provided great opportunities, I\'m most passionate about how my work has grown from daily vlogs into scripted narratives that push creative boundaries. Film has taken me around the world - from running production logistics in Italy to giving Warner Bros studio tours in French. Each experience has taught me something new about storytelling and reinforced what I love most: creating stories that make people both laugh and feel something deeper. Right now I split my time between writing, touring at WB, and making shorts that blend my YouTube background with my film ambitions. Always happy to connect with people who love film and storytelling as much as I do.
