Impact analysis of the legislation applicable to the American Express’s Italian entities with particular reference to the compliance and regulation on payment services, consumer protection, transparency, consumer credit (fair lending), surveillance, Risk and sanctions, usury, data privacy and insurance. Assessment and evaluation of compliance with the legislation applicable to the Italian entities of the AMEX Group, about new and existing products and services, business initiatives, marketing campaigns, advertising. Definition, elaboration, and provision of training plans and specific training initiatives for the company employees in the related areas of competence. Supporting the Data Protection Officer on all aspects and issues related to the processing of personal data by the Italian entities of the AMEX Group, in order to ensure compliance with applicable national and international legislation as well as company policies and guidelines. Supporting the Market Compliance Officer in defining and setting the schedule of institutional meetings as well as reporting and information flows to international stakeholders; supporting the Senior Management and all the corporate bodies.Since September 2024, I have been joining the newly European Payments Compliance team at Amex, a new team of pan EU Compliance specialists within American Express. I’m part of the advisory team with the main role to analyse the impact of all the regulations applicable to the European entities in Amex, with particular reference to payment services, consumer protection, transparency, consumer credit, accessibility, outsourcing and regulatory reporting. My new role is also to act as a point of contact between Italian Compliance and EU Compliance, ensuring a consistent approach to compliance with regard to the interpretation and application of European regulations applicable to the Italian legal entity in the field of payment services.
