ABOUT LUCA DEL CASTILLO

I am a passionate Systems Engineer who loves the holistic approach and flexibility that Systems Engineering (SE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) allow to have on (generally) complex projects. The development of any element, ranging from a project to a team, from a strategy to relationships, inspires me to go the extra mile. My attitude to work merges attention to detail with a tailorable approach, all embedded into a highly-proactive nature. The comfort zone is not the place for me, hence I am constantly looking for new opportunities and challenges. “Servant Leader” is what I try to be, i.e. inspiring people to make them confident of their talent and trust me as a “mentor”. My goal is always to create a positive working environment where people can feel motivated and a key element of my work is the development of trustful relationships with everyone around me. My principal area of expertise is SE / MBSE in the Rail sector (but skills are transferrable to other industries) with additional solid experience in Electrification and Plant. However, my “secret” passion is the Renewable Energy industry and my \"dream\" is to expand SE / MBSE, thanks to its cross-industry versatility, in Renewables and other exciting sectors.
