ABOUT LUCA DA SILVA

I currently work at Titanic Belfast as a member of the Visitor Experience team (with guiding). I help guests who visit the galleries with whatever questions they may have about the rich history of Belfast\'s shipbuilding traditions, and of course whatever they wish to know about the Titanic story. I give guided tours as part of the Discovery Tours offered by Titanic Belfast, during which I talk extensively about the TB building, Titanic Hotel, the shipyard, and the slipways. Additionally, I give guided tours to educational groups whenever they are operational. This has been a continuously educational and rewarding experience. During my year\'s worth of experience with Micro Focus, now OpenText, I worked in both sales and customer success administration. I adapted quickly to the fast environment of sales and hit my calls target constantly and consistently. During my time as a Customer Success Administrator, I collaborated frequently with the Customer Success Team and worked with Microsoft Office on a daily basis. In my spare time, you can find me reading some of my favourite comic, manga or graphic novel series in both English and French, as well as learning more about what makes my favourite artistic formats so special; this was the reason behind my focus on these graphic formats for my MRes in French. I enjoy going for runs and going to the gym as well, as keeping myself active has been continuously rewarding. Having achieved a Merit in my Level 4 Professional Qualification in Tour Guiding, my passion for learning, teaching and guiding others in this way translated into my engagements with others regarding cybersecurity during my time with Micro Focus and has been essential for my work at Titanic Belfast. This is one of the practical ways through which my knowledge regarding how to effectively guide others to understanding facts and effective solutions has been developed.
