About Steven Lubar
I am retired from teaching in the American studies and history departments at Brown, but still writing about museums and museum history, the history of technology, and local history. I occasionally take on museum consulting and curating projects. I\'m the President of the Little Compton Historical Society. At Brown, I have been Faculty Director of the Center for Digital Scholarship at the Brown University Library, Founding Director for the first ten years, and then, for Spring semester 2023, Interim Director, of Brown\'s John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage, and Director of Brown\'s Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology. Before coming to Brown in 2004 I was a curator at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. My blog: stevenlubar.net. CV: https://vivo.brown.edu/display/slubar
