After an intense selection process with 360 applicants across Brazil, I was chosen for the prestigious Opportunity Funds Graduate Program, 2024 cohort. This program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, and the U.S. Embassy in Brazil, is designed to support talented international students who need financial assistance to embark on their educational journey in the United States.

ABOUT LUANA MARQUES
Technical training in Chemistry, with a technical specialization in Polymers from the Institute of Macromolecules, and graduated in Chemistry from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Scientist with solid experience in material characterization, particularly through Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray Diffraction, and Laser Light. Additionally, has industry experience which helped develop skills such as teamwork, chemical and physicochemical analyses in Quality Control, including: viscosity, density, titration, refractive index, solid content, and particle size analysis. With a life purpose to contribute to the inclusion of Black girls in the scientific field through science popularization and representation, currently a volunteer with the project \"Mulheres Negras Fazendo Ciência\"(Black Women Doing Science). Sharing knowledge and inspiring young people are also ways to leave a legacy and uplift others. Passionate about travel and adventurous spirit. In this sense, has international experience that allowed the development of adaptability and improvement of foreign languages, such as English and German. Open to new challenges and opportunities to contribute to science and promote diversity.
