About Luana Carneiro Pereira
With over five years of experience in civil engineering and construction, I am a passionate and dedicated project engineer at PCL Construction, one of the largest general contracting organizations in North America. My core competencies include site inspections, construction management, trade contractor coordination, and quality and safety control. My mission is to deliver high-quality projects that meet the needs and expectations of clients, stakeholders, and communities. I am always eager to learn new skills, technologies, and best practices in my field of expertise, and I enjoy working with diverse and talented teams that share my vision and values.In my current role as a project engineer at PCL Construction, I assist project managers and superintendents with various aspects of project planning, execution, and completion. Some of my responsibilities include reviewing and updating project schedules, drawings, and specifications, tracking time, materials, equipment, cost, and quantities, liaising with trade contractors, consultants, designers, and engineers, conducting basic safety and quality inspections and trainings, and facilitating third-party inspections and site reviews. I leverage my skills in site inspections and construction management to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety. I also apply the knowledge and skills that I gained from my MBA in project management and my previous experience as a field engineer and a graduate research assistant in civil engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
