About Lauren Herring
As a second-year student at the Kelley School of Business, I am majoring in Marketing and Professional Sales. I am passionate about creative problem-solving, collaboration, and effective organization. My journey into business began during high school when I worked at A Total Tan, a tanning salon, for two years. There, I was promoted to a leadership role, gaining hands-on experience in sales, goal-setting, and achieving commission-based targets. This experience solidified my decision to pursue a career in business.Currently at Indiana University, I am focused on expanding my knowledge and continuing to grow both academically and personally. I plan to embrace new challenges this year, such as getting more involved in student organizations, seeking leadership opportunities within my sorority, and enrolling in honors courses. As a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, I actively participate in fundraising and philanthropy events benefiting Mental Health America and National Eating Disorder Awareness. I\'m excited to strengthen relationships and further contribute to our community. As I continue my academic journey at the Kelley School of Business, I am looking forward to build on my foundation by seeking out internships that will allow me to further develop my sales expertise. Gaining hands-on experience in real-world sales environments will help me refine my skills, particularly in the medical sales industry, where I can combine my passion for business with my interest in healthcare. I am committed to learning from experienced professionals and continuing to grow both as a student and as a future sales leader.
