About Lenny Neslin

With a background in journalism, social media and operations, I am now helping to improve business operations at VICE Media through finance systems and processes.I broke into social media during my freshman year at Quinnipiac University with my Yankees blog. It peaked at monthly page views during my second year posting daily. When I became editor of my school\'s newspaper, I redesigned its site and led the transformation of a weekly print edition to a daily website, resulting in 20 percent more page views year over year. The refreshed web presence and harder hitting content resulted in being named the 2012 Best College Newspaper by the New England Society of Newspaper Editors.My Yankees blog and college newspaper experiences helped me earn a part-time editing and content producing job at The Boston Globe, which I did simultaneously as editor of my school\'s paper as well as the summers before and after my senior year. The Globe led me to a full-time position at the New York Daily News that gave me invaluable online editing experience.At Carrot, I assisted in a Cannes Lion-winning project, provided social media thought leadership, and managed projects ranging from social, digital, print & OOH, and video.
