ABOUT LAURA SERVICE
I have been making award-winning websites professionally since 2012, but my love for web design goes back to when I was a kid. As a 14-year-old, I remember spending endless afternoons helping my friend build silly websites with Photoshop on his old desktop computer, we were using HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL, I think the computer had a 10GB hard drive. Now I get to work as UX/UI Designer at Article, a furniture e-tailer and also Canada’s fastest growing company. I spend a lot of my down time absorbing the latest design and interaction trends, acquiring new skills, and immersing myself in Vancouver’s vibrant design community. Technology has shifted – I’m now using Figma instead of Photoshop – but one thing that’s stuck around is my joy of making things for the web.
